Recommendation: Udi's Gluten Free Bagels
Review: Udi's plain bagels hit the spot for me. They come frozen so I pop them in the oven to defrost and toast up. They are light with a nice crispy crust. If you prefer dense bagels, these aren't for you. But if you want a nice bagel with a good crust to make a sandwich or put something creamy on like peanut butter or cream cheese, Udi's Gluten Free bagels will fit the bill.

Recommendation: D'Angelo Italian Market in Princeton
Review: I haven't had the opportunity to visit this great Italian Market, D'Angelo on Spring Street in Princeton, but that doesn't mean I'm not a huge fan. Whenever we need to order in catering for a meeting at the office, I keep my fingers crossed that it's coming from D'Angelo's. They are very accommodating and willing to create an exceptional GF meal and dessert. The best part is that all my non-GF colleagues love it just as much as I do.

Recommendation: 2 Profiterole Gluten Out
Review: A gift from Italy (or so it seems). Found in an orange and blue box in the freezer section, 2 Profiterole comes with 2 single serve freshly frozen cream puffs nestled in a tower of fluffy chocolate pudding, topped with whipped cream. The perfect item to keep in your freezer so you can have a decadent treat whenever you darn well please.

Recommendation: Teresa Caffe
Review: Bring your appetite, GF eaters, and head over to Teresa Caffe (hmm, they spell it with 2 Fs) in Princeton, NJ. They will substitute delicious, al dente, GF pasta in any of the pasta dishes on the menu. Yes, you will actually have a selection to choose from! I ate every last morsel of a dish that I don't see on the menu today, but I'm sure it'll be back. A light red sauce, fresh basil, ricotta cheese, and garlic mixed with savory noodles.

Marble Cake
Recommendation: Lilly's Home Style Marble Cake
Review: After wandering through BJ's a few weeks ago making hard decisions like, "do I really need a 5 lb bag of delicious looking lemons," I finally made it to the check-out line. All smart marketers know that the impulse buy tables are a must. Knowing this, I casually looked around to practice self-discipline and assure myself I don't need the 100 unit container of beautifully i flower decorated cookies. But then, I saw them. Two varieties of gluten free (pound cake looking) cakes. Brand name is Lilly's Home Style. I decided to try the marble cake because it looked very moist. I did eat the whole cake (a little at time), but the only way I'd buy this one again is if I was planning to put something over it (like strawberries or icing). The cake was moist (not as moist as gluten makes things), but good enough. It was lacking a bit in flavor and in density. They did have another flavor - maple, I think. I'd give it a shot if I see it during my next visit. Although the label said Koser for Passover - so we'll see if it ends up being a holiday find only.
